Samsung Wants an AI in Everything

Samsung Electronics announced its "AI for All" vision at CES 2025 on Monday, showcasing new AI features and devices for a more personalized, connected experience.
Details:
Samsung's Vision AI technology brings AI-powered, intelligent features to its TVs, including Neo QLED, OLED, and The Frame. These screens can adjust to your preferences and even provide real-time translations, AI upscaling, instant summaries, and more.
Several 2025 Samsung Smart TVs and Smart Monitors will feature Microsoft Copilot. This partnership allows you to explore a wide range of Copilot services, including personalized content recommendations.
AI is also being integrated into home appliances, from ovens and refrigerators to washers/dryers and even HVAC systems.
Samsung is offering a clear peek into its ambitious “screens everywhere” vision for the modern home, where every appliance is part of an interconnected, AI-driven ecosystem.

Nvidia Brings AI Supercomputing to Your Desk with $3,000 Project Digits

At CES 2025, Nvidia introduced Project Digits, a personal AI supercomputer. This compact device promises to transform AI development for researchers, developers, and students by delivering the kind of computing power previously reserved for massive, power-hungry systems.
Details:
Project Digits is small enough to fit on a desk but powerful enough to handle AI models with up to 200 billion parameters.
Starting at $3,000, it puts high-performance AI computing within reach of smaller teams and individuals.
It is equipped with the GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, 128GB of memory, up to 4TB of storage, and 1 petaflop of AI performance.
The system runs on Linux-based Nvidia DGX OS and supports popular tools like PyTorch, Python, and Jupyter notebooks.
With its powerful specs, compact design, and relatively affordable pricing, Project Digits could open the door for millions of developers to bring their AI ideas to life from the comfort of their desks.
